[Frameworks] HD editing on a non-Intel Mac under Tiger?

Dear All,

I have a Mac G4 running  OS 10.4.11.  What are my options (if any) 
for a rudimentary editing system capable of editing HD 1080 video in 
the form of Mpeg-4 files?  By "rudimentary editing" I mean something 
that includes cutting.  iMovie 05, which comes with Mac OS 10.4, 
accepts the footage just fine but only allows joining, not cutting.

And is there any version of Final Cut that would run on a G4 under 
Tiger, and work with HD 1080 video in the form of Mpeg-4 files?
