[Frameworks] 16mm in the classroom - projector noise!

Brook,
My alternate suggestion is that you should just accept the sound of the
projector. I've never seen any of Nathaniel Dorsky's films in complete
silence, even when the sound of the projector was 100% absent from the room.
Any screening I have ever been to has been to a pretty large audience, which
is the source of a great deal of noise—people shuffling about, papers being
rustled, coughing, whispering... all sounds that, to me, are far more
distracting than the sound of the projector, since they have nothing to do
with the film, whereas the sound of the projection is an integral part of
the material of film itself....
