[Frameworks] Petition_ For the Continuation of Film and Media Studies at the University of Applied Arts Vienna!

Dear Frameworkers, 

I am addressing you with a special request: 

The University of Applied Arts Vienna has decided to discontinue the position of Professor of Film and Media Studies, which has provided theoretical frameworks regarding art and the moving image for many years. As this withdrawal will become effective with my departure in the winter semester of 2024, the Students’ Union of the University of Applied Arts has launched a petition to continue the professorship. If you want to support this campaign, please sign the petition and share it with your respective networks.

And here’s how it works:

Once you go to the link, you will see the petition in both German and English. However, the process of signing is in German only. On the left is the petition; on the right you will see spaces in which to insert your first and family names, as well as your e-mail and postal code. This is followed by “Unterzeichnen” (sign, or submit). You will then receive an e-mail offering two choices:

 
I want to sign the petition and receive more information by e-mail. (“Ich möchte unterzeichnen und per Email weiter informiert werden.”) 
I want to sign the petition and not receive further information. (“Ich möchte unterzeichnen und verzichte auf weitere Informationen.“)
 

Choose one, and your signed petition will be accounted for. A further e-mail will arrive asking if you want to donate (“spenden”).
