[EN] MEDIA FACADES FESTIVAL EUROPE 2010 (MFF 2010) is an urban media art 
project that interconnects seven European cities through urban screens 
and media facades located in public spaces. Artists and media designers 
will show especially developed art projects Europe wide, through 
Screenings and Joint Broadcasting Events, opening a global window to 
create dialogue, share dreams and exchange ideas.

[FR] /MEDIA FACADES FESTIVAL EUROPE 2010 (MFF 2010) est un projet urbain 
numérique qui relie sept villes européennes à travers des écrans vidéo 
et des façades média situés dans l'espace public. Artistes et média 
designers présenteront partout en Europe des projets spécialement conçus 
pour le festival lors de projections et d'événements conjoints, ouvrant 
une fenêtre globale pour susciter le dialogue, le partage de rêves et 
l'échange d'idées./

[NL] MEDIA FACADES FESTIVAL EUROPE 2010 (MFF 2010) is een digitaal 
kunstproject voor de stad. Het verbindt zeven Europese steden door 
middel van videoschermen en mediafaçaden verspreid in de publieke 
ruimte. Kunstenaars en mediadesigners stellen in het kader van het 
festival hun specifieke projecten over heel Europa voor. Openbare 
projecties en verwante evenementen openen en genereren een ruimte voor 
dialoog, droom en uitwisseling van ideeën.

MFF 2010 is initiated by Public Art Lab / Berlin in cooperation with 
iMAL / Brussels, m-cult / Helsinki, FACT / Liverpool, Ars Electronica 
Futurelab / Linz, Medialab-Prado / Madrid, Kitchen Budapest.

      MFF 2010: Graffiti Analysis by Evan Roth

[EN] Graffiti Analysis is an extensive ongoing study into the motion of 
graffiti. Custom software designed for graffiti writers creates 
visualizations of the often unseen motion involved in the creation of a 
tag. Motion data is recorded, analyzed and archived in a free and open 
database, 000000book.com <http://000000book.com/>, where writers can 
share analytical representations of their hand styles. Graffiti Analysis 
is a project by Evan Roth <http://evan-roth.com/>, member of F.A.T. 
(Free Art & Technology Lab) and founder of the Graffiti Reasearch Lab.
For MFF 2010, you are invited to record your tags and upload them on 
000000book.com <http://000000book.com/>. Selected tags will be shown all 
over Europe on the urban screens and media facades of the festival. The 
result will be presented in Brussels on 2nd of October!

graffiti. Ce logiciel personnalisé conçu pour les graffeurs crée des 
visualisations du geste souvent invisible impliqué dans la création d'un 
tag. Les données de mouvement sont enregistrées, analysées et archivées 
dans une base de données libre et ouverte, 000000book.com, où les 
écrivains peuvent partager des représentations analytiques de leurs 
styles graphiques. Graffiti Analysis est un projet de Evan Roth, membre 
de F.A.T. (Free Art & Technology Lab) et fondateur du Graffiti Reasearch 
Lab.
Pour MFF 2010, vous êtes invités à enregistrer vos graffitis et à les 
transférer sur 000000book.com. Les tags sélectionnés seront présentés 
dans toute l'Europe sur les écrans urbains et façades médias du 
festival. Le résultat sera montré à Bruxelles le 2 Octobre!/

[EN] PLAYLIST explores the relationship between video games, music and 
visual art. The exhibition, produced by LABoral Centro de Arte y 
Creación Industrial (Spain) and now presented at iMAL in a new version, 
shows artworks by artists coming from the "chiptune" and media arts 
scenes who reused old PC's and games consoles to create new sound and 
visual contents. Reinventing and hacking vinyl's, vintage computers, 
game platforms, they turned "dead media" into powerful tools of artistic 
creation. *Only 2 weeks left!*

[FR] /PLAYLIST explore les relations entre jeux vidéo, musique et arts 
visuels. L'exposition, produite par LABoral Centro de Arte y Creación 
Industrial (Espagne) et maintenant présentée à iMAL, propose des oeuvres 
d'artistes issus de la scène "chiptune" et des arts médiatiques qui se 
sont réapproprié vieux PC et anciennes consoles de jeu pour en extraire 
un nouveau contenu visuel et sonore. Détournant et réinventant vinyles, 
ordinateurs "vintage" et consoles de jeu, ils ont transformé ces "média 
morts" en puissants outils de création artistique. *Plus que 2 semaines!*/

[NL] PLAYLIST verkent de relatie tussen video games, muziek en beeldende 
kunst. De tentoonstelling bij iMAL toont kunstwerken van kunstenaars van 
de 'chiptune' en uit de wereld van de media kunsten. Ze hergebruiken 
oude computers en spelcomputers om een nieuwe geluiden en beelden te 
creëren. Door het heruitvinden en hacken van vinylplaten, vintage 
computers, game platformen, toveren ze 'dode media' om in krachtige 
artistieke tools.*Slechts 2 meer weken!*
