[Frameworks] Stan Brakhage quotation question.

Hello,
I had a quick question about a quotation that I can't seem to find.
It is one in which Stan Brakhage refers to the etymology of the word "film"
and then relates it with "chasing ghosts" or something like that.
There is a reference to etymologies for cinema in "In Consideration of
Aesthetics" but nothing about ghosts or "film".
I appreciate everyone's help,
