I have a cheap, portable audio recorder that produces 'WMA' files. Does
anyone know how I can convert those files to an mp3's?
Thanks, Ken

Unfortunately, the good programs that do this will charge $$ for their mp3
versions, like Winamp and Media Monkey. The free versions have disabled
most of the mp3 functionality. The Media Monkey trial version used to give you
a free 30 days for mp3. It may still.
Not having tried it for awhile, won't Windows Media Player convert from wma
to mp3, for free?
BTW, you're better off with WMAs. They sound better if done at the 'good'
or better level. The best are flac, actually, but converting wma to flac is
like putting a 4-cylinder engine into a Porsche.
