ah so it is cumulative! suspected but wasn't sure ... the only airports i've been to that will hand check are in the states, they won't do it in europe

10 % of Monsoon Wedding's S16 > 35mm blowup was a digital blowup w/ fixes by Swiss Effects  due to airport x-ray damage at Mumbai.
 
Arriving EARLY and politely giving your reason for hand inspection is a neccesity.
 
Unfortunately no inspectors seem to understand x-ray damage is cumulative. Perhaps suggest a medical x-ray similarity ?
