Not really-- it was a peculiar chemistry, and I believe it also had an  
anti-halation backing on it that had to be removed mechanically. E6 isn't  good 
enough, but it will work, except labs won't deal with a backing any  more.
 
Try Martin Baumgarten in Plattsburgh N.Y. He will hand process S8 films.  
There's also a lab in Holland that will process  anything.
