[Frameworks] Tie Film Festival

I had a situation with TIE a few years ago where they enthusiastically  
accepted my film, but then wouldn't answer emails and didn't end up  
screening it, or explaining why. Conversely, I've had festivals accept  
my work and not tell me it was in, then screened off the screener DVD.  
I would only find out accidentally that it screened at all.

It seems to be a growing trend to not notify filmmakers of the status  
of their work. I was going through old files recently and found a  
bunch of rejection letters I'd saved. I felt excited to see them even  
though they were rejection letters, as they were nicely typed on  
stationery paper with a letterhead and everything. It seemed so  
respectful to get a formal letter in the mail. Sometimes personal  
notes would even be scrawled in the margins from the jurors. It all  
seemed so human and decent. Gone are those days!
