Thanks Sam.  Good idea! I will bring the Brakhage dvds for sure, it  
will be a good edgamakation for them.  I have resolved that I will  
need to do  scene by scene corrections rather than expect some kind  
of " best light" equivalent.  I have used quite a range of "painting"  
techniques and materials and they each may need their own tweaking.
I (and my computer assistant) have definitely decided to stick with  
ProRes
