Subject: [Frameworks] Takehisa Kosugi
Hello everyone,
This is a shot in the dark, but here goes. I'm looking for information
about, and, especially, images of Takehisa Kosugi's performance Film
and Film #4 (1965). It is referenced in Sheldon Renan's book
Introduction to American Underground Film, which includes a photograph
of the performance by Peter Moore (if someone could point me in the
direction of a source for Moore's photographs, that might help). I
have only found one other image of the work - a tiny, super low-res
image on the web, which has now disappeared. I'm hoping for a
publishable (i.e. high-res) image to accompany a text I've written
that's being published. I'd also be interested in hearing of any print
information/descriptions of the work; in addition to appearing in
Renan's book, Kosugi's performance is mentioned by Hollis Frampton in
"Lecture" and "For a Metahistory of Film," and in an essay by Peter
Weibel in the Future Cinemas book he edited with Jeffrey Shaw. Those
are all very brief references - if anyone knows more detailed
discussions, ring my bell.
Thanks!
Jonathan
