[Frameworks] Two historical questions

On the John Whitney question, my understanding was always that Vertigo was the only one Saul hired John for, incorporating the Lissajous spirals he designed. But I've passed the question along to John Whitney Jr. and will post his response here if/when it comes.

I'm hoping someone can help me with two historical questions:

(1) When did Harry Smith start working at Art In Cinema, and how long was he there?

I am under the impression he had left by 1950, but don't know when he started.

(2) John Whitney mentions working with Saul Bass on title sequences, but I know of only the Vertigo title. Which others, if any, did he work on? I know  UPA did film titles, were they responsible for the animation of Bass's work?

Odd questions, I know.

Thanks for any help, on or off list.
