I don¹t understand.

Have the 2141 people who have signed this petition really purchased and
tried out FCP X extensively enough to state the claims of the petition (I
mean its only been available for six days!)?

Although the petition¹s statements MAY be true, I have not had an
opportunity since last Tuesday to truly validate these claims, and therefore
see no way in which I could support such a petition.

Yes I have been a daily user of FCP since FCP 1, and although the interface
of FCP X does sort of, in some ways resemble iMovie, why is it no longer a
professional application? Call me naïve, and yes I have heard it hasn¹t
lived up to expectations yet, but if you own FCP Studio3 why the need to
upgrade right now? Seeing how Apple owns the code for FCP 7, why would one
not expect them to further incorporate the professional features presently
not available back into the program in future releases?

This petition is surprising.
