Just curious...Bruce Sterling? Why was it a failure? Please elaborate.

I'd like to know, too.

Sounds like age-ism to me. What's next-- making fun of Stan Brakhage at
Colorado?

If Kodak has a problem with inkjets it's not because inkjets are somehow
silly, it's because there's too much competition.

There's nothing worth laughing over about printers-- they will always be
needed. And very much.

If you really want to make fun of something, how about all of these
incredibly convoluted digital-capture schemes that are oh-so-hip right now?
There's nothing that will be more silly and obsolete in a few years.
