Kathy Rose's dance/animation stuff is pretty outstanding.  You can some of these dance/animation/video hybrids at her youtube channel:

Also, I enthusiastically second Marcy's suggestion of INTROSPECTION by Sara Kathryn Arledge.  It's pretty out there and amazing, especially for the 1940s (and even for the 1960s).
