[Frameworks] VHS to DVD Recorder

Ken,
S-video out of a VHS deck into a standalone DVD player/recorder has always worked for me. If you want to get fancy there are “signal enhancers” that override Macrovision and convert to PAL. Fairly reasonable price as I recall.

I have a huge teaching library of VHS tapes that I've been meaning to convert to DVD, in order to save space. Rather than make a file from a dvd player using an analog/digital converter, can anyone recommend a *single unit* that records VHS tapes straight to DVD?
