Nope, the solar cell is just hot and ground.

The de-emphasis network for the mag device is different than the one for
the optical head, so the frequency response will be way off, but it's
really just a squawk box, it isn't expected to sound good.

You may find 6V is too high for the exciter... and it needs to be pretty
regulated or it will hum.  Put three diodes in series with your 6V supply
and drop it down to 4.8V or so.  The lower you run the lamp the longer it
will last but the lower your output level is.
