[Frameworks] "Visions from a Festival" Photo Essay on Flickr

Hi folks,

I had the good fortune to attend three days of the Vision Festival in 
New York this past June, and took a lot of photos, mostly abstracts 
inspired by the wonderful improvised music. I use a camera motion 
technique to create these abstracts (which I call 'Swirlies'), and 
think of them as a photographic form of action painting.

I hope some of the feeling, energy, and expansiveness of the music 
can be seen in these images, which can be seen at
