From what I've read online it's rare to hear about ANY film lab that doesn't have both it's champions and it's detractors. Motion picture film labs are generally small businesses with one of two people doing the actual work, which is actually pretty nasty stuff given all the chemicals involved. The kind of people willing to do this work often have personalities that blow hot and cold. We can all complain that if they take your money, everybody ought to get the same kind of service, but that's not how it works. The more you can develop a personal relationship with your lab technician, the better results you'll get.
