[Frameworks] Liquid Light onto clear 16mm - any tips?

I've considered this myself but never tried it. Does anyone have any experience treating clear leader first with a workable fixative spray such as one used on paper illustrations to prevent smudging, then painting on the liquid light? Seems to me like that could do the trick.

I had this problem. Robert Schaller taught me that it will work much better if you can find some print stock, and then put that in fixer without exposing it. You'll remove the silver-halide, but leave the gelatin, and Liquid Light will stick to this much better. 

You can also dry it (in complete darkness) with a hair dryer for 10-15 min. I found that this created a tighter bond that was sufficient for photograms and contact prints on 4-6 ft strips of 16mm film. Regardless, be very gentle in the processing and drying.

Howdy,

Trying to paint "Liquid Light" photo emulsion onto clear 16mm leader. exposing photograms etc, then hand processing. But the emulsion is falling off by the time we get to fixer. Works slightly better with clear film that has some emulsion already on it, but not much. Anybody have any better experiences / tips to share? Maybe spraying a clear varnish onto the leader first, or roughing up with fine sandpaper? or  . . .
