[Frameworks] Which Super8 Stock Should I Use?

Its a comment that is not applicable to Insa. It is a creative decision made by Jeff and is apparently the right one for him, but Insa should try the stock out, look around the web to see samples of what  is possible as far as color manipulation both during the telecine transfer and later desktop editing apps. For me, the statement has no value, and is wrong, but for Jeff it is correct. Insa must figure it out for him/herself.

Super-8 is a medium that was intended for reversal film.  Color negative in S8 is usually quite ugly, and you probably could shoot 16mm for not much more money, with better results.  Underexposed S8 color negative can be truly hideous, even when scanned on a great film scanner.


However, Tri-X reversal still exists, and can be quite beautiful.  Consider B&W -- it's cheaper and looks better.
