[Frameworks] adding subtitles to videos

Hi All,

Any recommendations on which programs are best to incorporate subtitles
onto videos?

Anyone have any thoughts/experiences with Encore?

Is it complicated to do this with After Effects?

Any advice would be wonderful, as I am just starting to look into this.
