Am ehemaligen Flugplatz im 22. Bezirk ist eines der größten Stadtentwicklungs-projekte Europas im Gang. Bis zum Jahr 2028 entsteht auf einer Fläche von 240 Hektar ein neuer Stadtteil. Das ehrgeizige Projekt soll höchsten planerischen und ökonomischen Standards entsprechen. Ruth Anderwald + Leonhard Grond & Anna Kim greifen die Baustelle als utopischen Ort des Entstehens auf. Anderwald + Grond begleiten die erste Bauphase fotografisch, Anna Kim kommentiert literarisch und in Versen. Das Ergebnis wird grafisch aufgearbeitet und in monatlich wechselnden Plakaten von Mai 2013 bis April 2014 in Wiener U-Bahnstationen affichiert. Dieser Prozess kann auch über Twitter verfolgt werden. Aspern ist eines der größten Stadtbauprojekte Europas und soll bei der Fertigstellung 2028 Wohnraum für 20.000 Menschen sein, weitere 20.000 sollen dort Arbeit finden. Die Seestadt Aspern ist nach höchsten ökologischen und technologischen Standards geplant.

2013, an art project in public space by Ruth Anderwald + Leonhard Grond & Anna Kim on aspern, Die Seestadt Wiens, as an example of urban utopia.Together with the writer and essayist Anna Kim, the artist duo Ruth Anderwald + Leonhard Grond have conceived a year-long project (from May 2013-April 2014) that follows the construction progress of a new district in Vienna, Seestadt Aspern, and reflects on this district as an example of utopian ideals in urban design. The project, entitled Rohbau ZukunftTM (The Frame of the FutureTM), consists of a series of posters in Vienna subway stations, with a new poster appearing each month. This process can also be followed on Twitter. The largest European urban design project to date, upon its completion in 2028 Seestadt Aspern will be home to more than 20.000 people, and its infrastructure shall provide employment to another 20.000. It has been designed to conform to the latest ecological and technical standards.

about art–and on the other hand, not to allow such an experiment to end in chatter.
