 Hi Gene,

The HDMI to Thunderbolt adapter is an output not an input device.    For
importing HDMI via thunderbolt, check out some of the blackmagic products,
like https://www.blackmagicdesign.com/ca/products

There are external cards like the BlackMagic Intensity line, or their
complex Ultra Studio 4k, and even the Terranex processor.

You're looking at around $350 to start up to $2000 but that's what it costs
to capture HMDI via Thunderbolt, not a $30 output converter.
