The third open call here at The Picture Show, "Visions" is a program that
spans two nights of films which locate the magic, the mythic, the oneiric,
and the existential, in the perceptual realm. From hand processed celluloid
animations of color and light, to video enactments of people's revelations
on the ritual drug ayahuasca, these works are an aesthetic probing into the
worlds of the spiritual and the self. We are incredibly lucky to host
Peruvian artist Mariana Tschudi, who will screen both her film, and do a
live performance, on Friday June 27th. That evening's full line up includes:

Julie Marie Wolterstorff, "Mono No Aware #1"

Daniel Abad, “Diary of Dreams: Flex”

Chompunutt Mayta, “Song For Every Ghost”

Lindsey Whitfield, “And It Was So”

Jeymer Gamboa, “Reencuentro”

Shambhavi Kaul, “Mount Song”

Anthony Svatek, “In Us, Roots”

Zachary Finkelstein, “How She Sees What She Sees”

Mariana Tschudi, “Two Sacred Plants”

Lena Ditte Nissen, “KORONA”

Mariana Tschudi, “Transcending Our Shadows” (live performance)

The following evening's program, Saturday June 28th, continues with:

Robert Todd, “Undergrowth”

Dan Browne, “Hand Processing”

Ben Skea, “Trace”

Ajon Srivardhana Kibreab, “Gorgonen”

Ryan Dight, “January Twenty Fourteen”
