Part-time Managing Editor wanted for Millennium Film Journal			

The Millennium Film Journal (MFJ) seeks a part-time Managing Editor to manage production, staffing, business planning, marketing, and sales.  MFJ is published twice yearly by Millennium Film Workshop, a non-profit media arts center located in New York City.  It is one of oldest journals of moving image art in the world, with a global readership of 750 in over 20 countries.  Since 1978 its sole commitment has been to cinema as an art form rather than as a commercial product. 

The Managing Editor will be responsible to the Senior Editor.  Bookkeeping and HR support services will be provided by Millennium.  The candidate should have entrepreneurial instincts, experience in publishing, and an interest in film.

The Managing Editor will work initially as an unpaid volunteer, compensated only with free access to Millennium’s equipment, facilities, screenings, and workshops.  As circulation grows a compensation package will be available.  We estimate that this work will require about 8 hours a week.  Contact director at millenniumfilm.org
