Greetings from the Kuala Lumpur Experimental Film & Video Festival.
Happy New Year 2015!

We're kicking start the new year with three very exciting events with
aspiring international guests from Japan and USA!

KLEX's new experimental film/video screening series "ExScreen" is launched
in January 2015! In this first edition, we're very happy to have
musician-filmmaker Katsura Yamauchi in town. Katsura will present his film
"HoFuNeM" in person, and perform a solo saxophone set. Also on the bill is
a short KLEX screening programme featuring works by Jack Cheong/Okui
Lala/Alphonse Chern (Malaysia), Debora Bernagozzi (USA), Phillip Artus
(Germany), Andrew Stiff (Malaysia), Haruka Mitani & Michael Lyons (Japan),
June Kyu Park (USA) and Koji Tambata (Japan/Thailand).

*Serious Play Improv Lab (SPIL 008)*

KLEX's performance lab series focuses on improvisation, SPIL, is back with
its 8th edition to kick start 2015! We're very excited to have Katsura
Yamauchi (sax) from Japan on the bill! Also joining the play lab are local
dancers Ren Xin and Arson Ong, and musicians GOH Lee-Kwang, YONG Yandsen
and KOK Siew-Wai.

*Gerry Hemingway + Sarah Weaver: Workshop. Screening. Solo Drum
Audio-Visual Performance *

We're very excited to have two rare guests from USA, Gerry Hemingway
(composer, drummer, filmmaker) and Sarah Weaver (composer) in town,
presenting a one-day feast with improvised music workshop, film screening
and solo drum audio-visual performance. Definitely an event not to be
missed!
