Hi / Merhaba,

   Aranızda İstanbul ve yakınlarında yaşayanlar varsa, ve biletlerin
tükeneceğini tahmin ettiğimden bir haber veriyim dedim:
Şubat'ın 7sinde, Kadıköy'deki KÖŞE isimli mekanda oldukça nadir, tamamı
16mm olarak gösterilecek olan, Stan Brakhage, Tony Conrad, Jeanne Liotta,
Jodie Mack, Anthony McCall, and Charlotte Pryce'ın işlerinden oluşan bir
gösterimi sunmak için kısa bir süreliğine İstanbul'a uğrayacam.
Anlayabildiğim kadarıyla, bu gösterim ayrıca bu filmlerin hepsinin Türkiye
prömiyeri de olacak.

Bu gösterim collectorspace, Küçük Sinemalar, ve FOL Sinema Topluluğu
işbirliği ile sunulmaktadır. FOL, eski Bilgi Sinema gösterim grubunun yeni
ismi, ve benim Teksas'dan bir 16mm'lik projektör ve bir sürü filmi
getirmemden tahmin edebileceğiniz gibi, 100 / 100 desteklediğim bir oluşum.
Bu gösterim, yeni ismiyle ilk gösterimleri olacak. Nice filmlere,

  In case there's some of you over in Istanbul / relative area, a brief
heads up: I'll be travelling over on February 7th for an all 16mm program
with films by Stan Brakhage, Tony Conrad, Jeanne Liotta, Jodie Mack,
Anthony McCall, and Charlotte Pryce. From what I can tell, this will be the
first time any of the films will be shown over there, even a film like *The
Flicker *(remember, made in the mid-60s). A rare moment for the format in
that area.

As it's a small space, and I get the sense that it'll sell out, you might
want to get your tix early. Follow the paypal link on the facebook page;

This is a co-presentation between collectorspace, Küçük Sinemalar, and FOL
Sinema. Keep your eyes/ears open for FOL. They used to run as a university
screening group, and they're ramping up their ambitions, and this will be
their first event under their new name. As it might be obvious from me
lugging a projector + batch of prints over there, I'm giving em all my
support (and you should too). May it be the first of many more to come.
