You might try looking into the (various) archives for US African American dancer/choreographer  Katherine Dunham.  She researched dance in Haiti and also lived there for a while.  Wikipedia should give you several suggestions for museums and archives of her work.  I saw an exhibition of her various work several years ago at a St. Louis museum.  It included film clips, photography, and costumes, etc. She had an ongoing interest in Haiti, even going on a protest hunger strike against the treatment of Haitian boat people, at age 82(!).  Maya Deren was her assistant around 1940 and began her own interest in Haiti from her mentor.  Of course Deren’s Haitian footage is essential.
