Jon,

Steve's Cine Service in Vancouver if he (Steve Bereczky) is still in
business. He's been repairing and modifying Eyemos for years.

Why do you think it's the spring? Does it keep winding with the
spring never getting tighter? Or does it seem fully wound but won't
release? Former would be the spring, latter might be a spring washer
clutch thingy that's sheared off. (I think it's designed to do that to
protect the mechanism if it jams.)

Disassembling an Eyemo is not that difficult; I've fixed a couple using
an old military repair manual that I found online. If the spring is
not broken there's no need to touch it and it stays securely in the
body when you remove the mechanism.

Parts are pretty hard to find, but if it is the spring washer, Filmos
used the same one.

It's been a couple years since I tore one apart, but I'm happy to help
if I can.

Cheers,

Todd

should try and get it fixed or find another one .
