[Frameworks] UNXFEST 1.1- Durham, NC

[UNEXPOSED Microcinema]

Hello Frameworkers!

We wanted to let everyone know about a new experimental film festival that
will be taking place in Durham, North Carolina on May 7, 2016 (schedule
below!). The first installment of the UNEXPOSED Film Festival will take
place all day/night with a free camera-less 16mm workshop, three bands live
scoring videos, two competitive screenings, free food and beer! Pre-order

Through an open call for submissions, the UNX Collective has chosen 12
films and videos to screen in two separate programs:

Visions of an Island by Sky Hopinka (Milwaukee, WI)
Monitor/City of Glass by Pirouz Nemati (Montreal, QB)
Solitary Acts 4,5,6 by Nazli Dincel (Milwaukee, WI)
The Neutral Zone by LJ Frezza (Chicago, IL)
The Known Universe by Lisa McCarty (Durham, NC)
TRiplete PLastico by Ignacio Tamarit (Argentina)
End of an Error by Peter Freund (Moraga, CA)
Notes from the Interior by Ben Balcom (Milwaukee, WI)
SoundPrint by Monteith McCollum (Binghamton, NY)
Late Light by Matt Whitman (Brooklyn, NY)
Two Currents by Kimberly Forero-Arnias (Boston, MA)
Orientation by Sirah Foighel Brutmann & Eitan Efrat (Brussels, Belgium)


The bands will be scoring films by Tomonari Nishikawa, Richard Wiebe,
Shannon Harris, Chai Mi, Thorsten Fleisch, Maxime Corbeil-Perron, Lei Lei,
and Jason Younkman!


UNXFEST 1.1 SCHEDULE: MAY 7, 2016:

- 12-2pm: FREE 16mm Workshop (cameraless animation) with Erica Titkemeyer-

- 3-4pm: Competitive Screening #1 (featuring 6 films)
- 4:30-5:30pm: Curtis Eller and The American Circus (free food during
music, catered by The Pit Authentic BBQ)
- 6-7pm: "Words + Projectors" by Bill Brown
- 7:30-8:30pm: Tescon Pol (live scoring of several short experimental films)
- 9-10pm: Competitive Screening #2 (featuring 6 films)
- 10:30-11:30pm: Matt Northrup (live scoring of two experimental
documentaries)

The UNX Collective is comprised of members Anna Kipervaser, Armand
Tufenkian, EB Landesberg, Jason Sudak, Josh Wismans, and The Smyth Brothers.
