I would have to disagree, as one of the primary elements of cinema-verité/direct cinema filmmaking is sync sound.  I realize this film was made to be usable without requiring subtitles, so there’s no dialog — but it’s more “early 60’s documentary” style rather than “verité” in my very sectarian opinion!
