[Frameworks] Announcing Syros Film Fest lineup

Hi folks-

Here's announcing the lineup for this year's 2016 Syros Int'l Film
Festival, to be held between July 28 - Aug 1 in Greece.

Highlights include:

– Sci-fi and the avant-garde, presented by Péter Lichter
– Carte-blanche to Pip Chodorov
– Cellule d'Intervention Metamkine
– Flicker films: 'An evening for Tony Conrad'

Films are screened in a rotating cast of quotidian spaces (the boatyards,
beaches, hilltop churches)— as much as possible on 16mm and 35mm — further
embedding the festival into the place of Syros.

*Founded in 2013, the Syros Int'l Film Festival (Syros, Greece) showcases a
wide spectrum of cinema in traditional and re-purposed island sites.
Presented as a five-day immersive gathering, the festival embeds diverse
programs—experimental and narrative, recent and retrospective, Greek and
international, workshops and expanded cinema performance—into a setting
removed from the normal boundaries of art and industry.*
