[Frameworks] (S8) 7th Mostra de Cinema Periférico in A Coruña, Spain

Dear Frameworkers,

I hope this message finds you well. This year we are about to celebrate the
7th edition of (S8) Mostra de Cinema Periférico in A Coruña (Galicia,
Spain). The festival dates are June 1 to 5. In 2016 we have designed a
programme around the main theme: 'The New Impressionists', bringing
together both emergent and veteran filmmakers whose work engages the
experimentation with light and its pictorial qualities.

We are very happy to welcome in A Coruña Canadian filmmaker Stephen Broomer
and French 'glitch' artist Jacques Perconte. Both will show their works
during the festival, together with pieces made by, amongst other, Americans
Jodie Mack and Robert Todd, Argentinian Pablo Mazzolo, Canadians John
Price, Alexandre Larose and Eva Kolcze and British Charlotte Pryce. This
main theme programme will be completed by an historical film session of
Germaine Dulac, pioneer of film and part of the avant-garde stream of the
20’s designated as "French impressionists".

We will also host programmes/profiles on the work of Saul Levine, Nicky
Hamlyn and William Raban. All of them are attending our 7th edition.

Further, we have programmed a 3-night-season of (film)performances by
Jacques Perconte, Martha Colburn and Nicky Hamlyn from June 2 to 4
respectively.

And of course, we will also have special sessions dedicated to Galician
contemporary avant-garde film all included in our section SINAIS.
