*The Film-Makers’ Cooperative / New American Cinema Group Announces Launch
of New Website*

*New York* –The Film-Makers’ Cooperative is pleased to announce that its
new and responsive website has been launched.

The Film-Makers’ Cooperative (FMC) is a community of film and video makers,
first established in 1962. New members are invited to join NYC’s historic
independent media distribution center. Our updated website offers many ways
of linking our members’ films with curators, educators and scholars through
a user-friendly interface. The new website’s design reflects the diverse
avant-garde and independent film community that the Film-Makers Cooperative
represents.

*Visual Elements Showcasing the FMC’s Vast Media Collection*
Hundreds of film stills, descriptions and updated artists’ bios have been
added to the 6000+ titles Catalogue. News, Events, Screenings, and
Workshops announcements are easy to find. As an ongoing effort to make the
FMC’s rich and historic paper and media archive visible, the website
features a new Archive page which includes scans of newsletter covers from
past decades, newspaper ads, press and media coverage, interviews with MM
Serra and important artists, and much, much more. Material will be added
continuously and can be easily organized by type. The website also has a
new Programs page, highlighting suggested film programs composed of works
from the catalogue, which have been curated by scholars, curators, and FMC
staff.

*Enhanced Research and Rental Function*
Renting titles from the FMC’s Catalogue is now easier. Searches and
selections from the Catalogue can be easily added to an online form.

*Responsive Design*
The new website features work across all devices, adjusting to desktop,
smart phone, or tablet.

*Website Design and Development Team*
The FMC is deeply grateful to the incredible team at Huncwot whose vision
made this website possible. Huncwot is an award-winning Warsaw-based
creative agency, specializing in interactive design. The Huncwot members
that worked on the new FMC website consisted of: *Arek Romanski*
(Design), *Łukasz
Knasiecki, Grzegorz Matyszewski, Mikołaj Szczepkowski* (Development Team),
and *Agata Pieczyńska* (Account Director).

*FMC Website Management Team*
The evolution of the new website has been a long-term collaborative effort.
Day-to-day communication between the FMC and Huncwot was facilitated by *MM
Serra* (Executive Director) and *G. Anthony Svatek* (Treasurer). Special
thanks to the FMC Board of Directors and dedicated staff.
