Hi all,
Some bad news to share.
Founded in 1971, Pittsburgh Filmmakers supported independent and avant-garde filmmaking for decades through classes, screening, equipment access, and study.
In the 1970s it was designated by the NEA as a leading “media center” for bringing film, video and media arts through Southwestern PA. It soon evolved from an artist-run equipment bank into a full fledged school.
Yesterday, PF announced it would cease offering classes, and try to sell its main building in North Oakland, Pittsburgh. No one knows yet what will happen to the 3 movie theaters owned by PF. This is a terrible loss for the community and local artists.

Support independent film
