[Frameworks] Film Festival Blues

I am bothered more by the fact that festivals charge a lot of money not giving much in exchange. Most of them simply exploits filmmakers.

Every film festival is telling me that they have received record number of entries from hundreds to thousands. If entries are increasing should not the scope and duration of the festivals increase to accommodate the record numbers. Increased entries also mean increased income to the festivals.
