*Algo está pasando acá*

Shadows and sounds of bodies intersect to get away from the present.
*Antón Tern*i Montevideo,1979. Graduated from the Uruguay Film School. He
has made two feature films: Ánima (2011) Mirador (2019) and several short
films. He teaches filmaking in film in various educational centers.

*Monte Carmelo*

A picture-film tells the story of the day that Felix’s family bees expelled
the US Navy from their land. A story that is kept alive in Vieques, Puerto
Rico and serves as an embers of the resistance to the colonial status of
the island. *Edén Bastida Kullick* lives andworks between Buenos Aires and
México City.
Visual artist, video producer and researcher. Work the crossings of art and
politics, video in multiple formats and interventions in public space.
Doctor in Theory and History of the Arts from the University of Buenos
Aires (UBA). His personal work has been exhibited in a dozen countries in
various exhibitions and festivals. He has been a CONICET and FONCA Fellow

*Malvaceae*

The boxes for the return into her home country are packed and stand around
her bed since years. But will she ever know again, if it’s day or night, if
she’s awake or asleep, if she’s breaking out or just running into a
trap?  *Juana
Robles* (*1983 Tortosa, Spain) is an experimental filmmaker based in
Dublin, Ireland. Having grown up in Switzerland she studied Visual
Communication, Spatial Design and Film. Her recent work is focused on
analogue filmmaking and the use of 16 and 35mm celluloid film for
animation and picture making. She has also worked as an editor in video art
post production and still works as freelance graphic designer and film
programer for experimental film festivals.

*Lucidity*

An illusory meditation on the street culture of New York City, represented
through a collage of overlaid events and characters that collide at chance
during the filming, chemical development and digital scanning process.
Through this method, the artist embraces accidents and coincidence in favor
of uncontrolled artistic expression.
*Zorrilla* was born in 1984 in the United States. He studied film at the
University of Santa Cruz (California, USA), and the University of
Copenhagen (Denmark). He currently lives and works in Buenos Aires,
Argentina. He’s directed numerous short films in Super 8.

*At your heels*

A recurring dream where I keep on following his traces, always at his heels.
*Azucena Losana* was born and raised in Mexico City, 1977. She lives and
works in Buenos Aires. Her work is related to experimental films,
installations and video.

*In the Autumn Before the Winter Comes Man's Last Mad Surge of Youth*

This film was made in response to seeing some of Caryn Clines films. Caryn
re introduced me to shooting my films outside.
*Jon Behrens * is a Seattle based filmmaker/composer. His films have been
screened at film festivals, colleges and museums through out the world
since the early 1980’s including screenings at Antimatter Film Festival
Canada, Seattle International Film Festival, TIE Film Festival Colorado,
London Underground Film Festival, Crossroads Film Festival San Francisco,
Festival International des Cinemas Differents et Experimentaux in Paris,
Alternative Film and Video festival in Novi Beograd Serbia, Sydney
Underground Film Festival, Festival des Cinémas Différents de Paris and
many many others. His work ranges from personal film diary’s to abstract
hand painted optically printed works.

*Petals and Feathers*

A roll of super 8 given to a first time filmmaker at the age of 68 by her
son in law. She is asked to use the roll to take photos of her garden. She
says the following about her film: "What do I see in my garden, through my
windows? The plants and flowers that I love and the bird that I
admire." *Adriana
Gomez* was born in 1950 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Studied Textile Art
(CEAVAO) and Botany (Cristobal María Hicken School). At almost 70 years of
age, her love for nature leads her to discover the image and is reflected
in photographs and in her first short in Super 8, Petals and Feathers
(2018).

*Immersio*

"Caelum mergens sidera"
Sound and visual experience around duality. "Immersio" evokes the light /
dark, the conscious and the unconscious, the confusion of meaning in a
chaotic world and the finitude of being.
*Sophie BOULOUX* alias Sophie.B, filmmaker.
Her photographic and cinematographic work is autonomous and without rule
and weaves a link between experimentation and poetry creating a real
dialectic of intimate and unusual worlds.

*Beautiful young ladies*

This is an observation in the nature. Not far from a pond live many
different dragonflies. At a time where insects disappear one after another,
why don't just take a break, contemplate those beautiful young ladies and
realize how we will miss nature...
*Roger Batteault*, a former pork butcher, is now 79 years old and still
makes Super 8 films. His films are shown here and there : in Brazil, London
or during the Cannes filmfestival, thanks to 3 Straight 8 selections... He
admires nature, he's a contemplative and his patience is rewarded by
beautiful images.

*Frazada*

Nature and culture. Jesuits and shamans. Exploitation and slavery.
Conquerors and colonized. Captains and beheaded. America. Spain. The
strategic war games fought by pathogens. The infected frazadas (blankets)
which Spaniards distributed to indigenous communities knowing that they
would be their end.
*Eduardo Filippi* is an architect, performer and filmmaker, dedicated to
combining his creative work with the different fields of architecture, art,
design and cinema. Currently, in Barcelona he works as project coordinator
of the Crater-lab laboratory, as well as multidisciplinary architect and
artist.

*Reencuentro*
by Andrea Montanari // 3' 28'' / 2016 / Italy / 35mm / footage / exp
The film comes from the manipulation of 35mm film material, of old very
different movie trailers each other. During the making of the film it
showed the need to intervene with pictorial elements and perforations for
enhanced images in sequence. With an assembly were cut and reassembled on
movie film pieces that have given rise to a sort of "dream epiphany" of
pre-existing material. The narration is defined by an "internal gestures"
that is contextually develops to become music.
*Andrea Montanari* was born in Urbino -1970-. Since 2005 teaches Animation
Cinema at the Art School " Fortunato Depero "in Rovereto. In addition to
teaching he creates short films using different animation techniques.
