I have this receipt that the friends from Mono no Aware once gave me:

Alternative non-toxic salt fixer:

A heat source and a pot you can make up your salt solution in
A liter of water and then some at room temperature
Something to stir your salt with as it is dissolving (takes some time)
300 g of salt (about one cup and a table spoon)
1 liter or larger measuring cup/graduated cylinder/glass bottle you’ve
recycled and marked where 1L is.
I've never tried but I've heard that it works well.
