[Frameworks] calibrating laptop screen?

Hey folks,
I just got a new laptop (for davinci & avid purposes) & the screen is quite high-contrast, needs calibrating - would anyone have tech tips to offer? 

It's a windows HP; I've been trying the built-in calibration, but it seems to require contrast keys that laptops don't have (something along the lines of the screen brightness keys, which it does have)
