[Frameworks] Open For Submission: Mimesis Documentary Festival 2021

Dear Comrades,

I'm writing to inform you of open early bird submissions
<https://filmfreeway.com/MimesisDocFest> for the 2021 iteration of the Mimesis
Documentary Festival <https://www.mimesisfestival.org/>, administered by
the University of Colorado's Center for Documentary and Ethnographic Media
<https://www.colorado.edu/center/cdem/>.

In light of the strong showing by emerging artists at last year's event,
and in an effort to make submissions affordable for first-time
documentarians and students, we are offering a limited-time discount for
the Student and Emerging Artist category. Using the code *MDF2021Emerging01
*will give artists 50% off one submission in that category through *January
15, 2021*. Submissions are open to all other categories at standard rates.

While we are working hard to keep submission prices as low as possible, we
unfortunately rely on them to offer our programming. Please note that the
fee also provides full access to the festival's virtual programs even if
the project is not selected.

We would greatly appreciate if you would consider forwarding this
announcement to your students and/or networks, and we hope you'll join us
at this year's festival.
