Dear Frameworkers,

I’d like to draw your attention to some online events taking place in the next couple of weeks in connection with my book Experimental Film and Photochemical Practices:

Tuesday 19 January 17.00 GMT / 18.00 CET / 12.00 EST: Launch discussion with Luis Recoder (participants receive 20% off the book – if you don’t have it already in one form or another!). Details and registration here: https://register.gotowebinar.com/register/4370954956697584653?fbclid=IwAR3dIKEYhmAs8Ll8XS2zlGFVpvwyD-R3pyHR6iMFYHxkqOalj0gDxCvNybo

Thursday 21 January 17.00 GMT / 18.00 CET / 12.00 EST: Roundtable discussion hosted by Light Cone, with Kim Knowles, Bea Haut, Emmanuel Lefrant, Charlotte Pryce, Vicky Smith and Esther Urlus, moderated by Mariya Nikiforova: https://lightcone.org/en/news-658-experimental-film-and-photochemical-practices-carte-blanche-a-kim-knowles (Zoom link posted on the page from Monday)

Monday 18 January – Sunday 24 January: Online screening hosted by Light Cone, with films by Emmanuel Lefrant, Charlotte Pryce, Vicky Smith, Esther Urlus, Richard Tuohy and Bea Haut: https://lightcone.org/en/news-658-experimental-film-and-photochemical-practices-carte-blanche-a-kim-knowles

Monday 25 January – Sunday 31 January: Online screening hosted by Canadian Filmmakers Distribution Centre, with films by Phil Hoffman, Chris Chong, Joyce Wieland, Eva Kolcze, Penny McCann and Francisca Duran. Details to follow.

Massive thanks to Palgrave Macmillan, Light Cone Distribution, CFMDC, and all the artists involved for their enthusiastic and generous support. I never expected to be doing this virtually, and I deeply miss the physical space of the cinema, but at least more people can join us this way! I really hope you can make it along to some of these events.

All the best,
Kim
