[Frameworks] Experimental Film X Home Movie Day: "Mining (and Manipulating) the Home Movie"

Hi all,

Canadian Images in Conversation, a new Peterborough-based film screening collective, presents "Mining (and Manipulating) the Home Movie," a short film program and panel discussion featuring experimental filmmakers from across Canada.

Filmmakers include: Christina Battle, Eva Kolcze and Philip Hoffman, John Kneller, Amanda Dawn Christie, Sara Angelucci, Freda Guttman, Louise Bourque, Lindsay McIntyre.

Critiquing the value of the home movie as a source of historical evidence and a window into our collective past, the films in this program reflect on the complexities of home movies and the realities they depict through the ways they incorporate and manipulate home movies and other source material.

The films and recorded panel will be available from October 16 - 23. The live panel begins at 7pm October 16, 2021. Free and open to the public worldwide!
