Flamingo Film Festival 2022 Call For Films
This year’s 9th Annual Flamingo Film Festival submission portal is open via FilmFreeway <https://filmfreeway.com/FlamingoFilmFest>. The regular deadline is March 27th. Screenings are tentatively scheduled for Saturday, April 23rd at FAU's MetroLab at the downtown FTL campus and online via Twitch <https://www.twitch.tv/flamingofilmfestival>. Times and films are TBD and subject to change. The festival is a competitively juried exhibition and only the films selected will screen. Review the festival's terms and conditions at FilmFreeway. The festival is free to attend. If you’re a current university/college student or recent graduate, consider submitting. For faculty and staff on the list, please post and share with your students and colleagues. Watch FFF social media for festival news and updates. Student subscribers to FRAMEWORKS can submit for free using FilmFreeway code FFF22Frame. Otherwise it’s $5 or $2.50 for FilmFreeway GOLD. (Cheap!)

Videomaker Magazine Digital Subscription
This year FFF is partnering with Videomaker <https://www.videomaker.com/>. They will be providing complimentary digital magazine subscriptions to all student filmmakers submitting to the 2022 Flamingo Film Festival. This $30 value includes 6 digital editions of Videomaker’s bi-monthly magazine. What is Videomaker? Videomaker has been the go-to video production magazine since 1986. With instructional courses, educational articles, virtual events, Videomaker Podcast, buyer’s guides, product reviews, and more. Once a film is submitted and following the festival's closing date, Videomaker will contact submitters with instructions on how to activate the complimentary subscription.

FFF 2022 Mandate
The Flamingo Film Festival is dedicated to exhibiting international short films and videos produced by student filmmakers. For the past eight installments, this event, held in sunny South Florida, has honored outstanding dramatic, documentary, experimental, music video, and animated projects created by students while enrolled in a college, university, or other post-secondary institution. It's the goal of the Flamingo Film Festival to continue to encourage student creativity, recognizing achievements in film and video. The festival is a part of the Exhibition Practices in Film, Video & New Media course (RTV 3229 + FIL 6409) with SCMS <https://www.fau.edu/artsandletters/scms/> at FAU <https://www.fau.edu/>.
