Hi all,

Seems like "This Week" didn't go out so …

I took my performance cartography experiment out on the road for a
dozen-plus dates this year (Colorado, Midwest, East Coast) but wanted to
end 2023 with some shows on the homefront.

Thea Farhadian (violin, electronics) and Dean Santomieri (resonator guitar,
electronics) have been generous with their time, we've had the luxury of a
couple of rehearsals, and we're stoked to be playing at Oakland's
Shapeshifters Cinema TONIGHT ($15; doors 7:30, show 8).

Next Wednesday Dec 6th at Luggage Store Gallery (1007 Market St, San
Francisco), John Ingle, saxophonist, and I will be one of three acts in the
long-running Outsound Presents New Music Series. The other two are John
Davis, who'll present Loan Agreement (single channel 16mm film to
improvised music), and Dave DeFillipo, who'll present Change of Uniform (a
set of improvised computer music). Both Johns I've known for decades and am
thrilled to appear with. I've not yet met Dave but he's recently moved back
to the Bay Area after spending seven years in San Diego earning his Ph.D in
music.

Oh, I'll give a shout out to one other Outsound Presents show on Sunday Dec
10th: Lori Varga will be screening 16mm found footage and who knows what
all else as part of a show called "Very unusual oscillations" that'll be at
