[Frameworks] Using a Kaiser RS-1 copy stand with a Bolex?

Dear Friends,

Someone recently gave me a mostly complete Kaiser RS-1 copy stand. I would
like to use it, if possible, to compose text on my computer, display that
text on a small flat screen monitor that I place on the copy stand grid and
re-photograph the text with a Bolex. I would then double expose or bi-pack
the text with other material in my optical printer. Is that a workflow
that makes sense?

I do not have a camera screw to attach the Bolex to the central column. I
would need something with a much longer shaft than the camera screws I see
advertised around, or the ones I have from tripod shoes, something more
like the camera screw that comes with an optical printer and that attaches
the Bolex to the base. Does anyone have a long-shafted camera screw that
would fit a Bolex knocking around in a box somewhere?

I also do not have light bulbs. I do have bulb fixtures on adjustable arms
that come with the copy stand. Any recommendations for LED lights? Should
I swap out the bulb fixtures for something else?

If you have any advice for me about the workflow I’ve described or about
using this copy stand set up with a Bolex, I’d love to hear it. Given the
specialized nature of my question, it is probably better to contact me off
list: carynycline at gmail.com.

Thank you for your insights.
