Prior to loading your regular 8mm film in the cartridge, it is best to practice with a blindfold before doing it or keeps in the dark darkroom, that is what I did with the 16mm magazines and that is what many signal corps guys did back in WWII, although the 100’ Bell & Howell cameras were a bit more convenient. I believe the airborn gun turret cameras also used the 50’ 16mm magazine. If you learn to load these 8mm magazines you will be able to brag about it to your grandkids. Now that I think of it loading reg. 8mm magazines should be a county fair competitive event along with the double wheelbarrow races, that is one wheelbarrow in each hand.
