Hi Matt, 

I don’t. know what you mean with a 50’ Lomotank.
But I noticed, after loading 15 meter tanks for many years clockwise, the 30 meter tank needed to be loaded turning anti-clockwise. The spiral turns the opposite direction.
Maybe try turning the other way round?

I can get the film threaded but am having difficulty spooling film onto the tank's spiral reels. Every YouTube video makes this look incredibly easy but I keep bending the film and jumping the track/groove.
