I am sorry to hear this about Willie. I knew him well during my daze at Canyon Cinema. He was extremely passionate about Super 8mm filmmaking and we had many intense conversations regarding the future of such a format and the longevity of filmmaking in celluloid itself. He gave me one of my first teaching jobs at the New College of California back in the 80s.

I trust there will be a resurrection of interest in the work that he created in Super 8mm. It was quite voluminous.
