Hi Jonathan,
I did a review for them a few yrs ago and then found out they’re listed as predatory journals - see an updated Beall’s list:

In fact, all MDPI journals are now listed as predatory journals. They’re indexed in Web of Science, but not in Scopus, and many people question their reputation. I remember the paper I reviewed wasn’t that bad (I suggested major revisions or revise/resubmit), but not sure to what extent it was actually revised before it got published.
